I was told I couldn't have the site I wanted because the toilet block was closed and the council regulations had to be within so far from campsites. Why not just open the toilet block. Was will open it for school holidays. What was the big deal. I always thought look after the customer. Also every time we go there there is noise. Last time demolition was being performed and we had a big jack hammer all day going for our 2 day stay and this time was told after we set up camp and paid road works were being performed at the entrance round about for two nights. So we had no sleep for two nights. Why weren't we told on check in and offered a reduction in price. No they waited till 5pm by text to inform us. I have been going there for years but now every time you go there now there is a new rule change or there is noise all day or all night. I am seriously considering switching parks I Forster
Very disappointing
Two couples staying in a cabin, plenty of parking space yet only one car allowed in park.
Cabin is old and run down, decking feels like it is going to collapse under you.
All kitchen utensils had to be washed as everything was filthy especially the glasses, looked like a 2 year old had washed them.
Only thing going for the park is the closeness to the shops etc.
The big 4 in tuncurry is a much better place to stay, only staying here as friends are here
Very disappointing. Paid extra for boat space and every time we went to park in our spot we paid for someone was parked in it. Tried to get staff to help but they just made it more difficult. Rooms are outdated over pricedand dirty
As mentioned below, this place is overpriced for what you get. Nothing fun for the kids to do, especially in winter when you don't really go to the beach. No views of anything nice. The male park manager was rude, obnoxious and on his high horse.
Our camp site was so small, our camper trailer only just fit but we couldn't set the whole thing up. Our car had to almost be parked on the road.
Overnight we heard a massive bang, but thought it was a garbage truck. Come to find out my car had been smashed into by the park managers car, with a note left on my windscreen. At first I thought, accidents happen. Unfortunately there was no sorry, ever.. no sorry on the note, no sorry from the mangers, no sorry from the ladies in the office, no sorry from head office.
The first sorry I got was from MY insurance company. What a pain in the *** my last 3 months have been, since my stay in June.
I wouldn't recommend this park to anyone, do yourself a favour and try somewhere else in Forster!
And no need for staff to reply to my message now with any 'sorrys'.. too little too late.
I rented a cabin for the weekend with my wife. When we arrived, the receptionist greeted us warmly and directed us to our cabin. At first glance, the cabin was outdated and in need of repair, but because we were not booking a stay in a five-star hotel, we dismissed that problem. Instead, we left our luggage in the cabin and went out to supper. After returning from Dinner and a walk, I needed to warm up, so I turned on the water to start a shower. After soaping myself, the water turned ice cold, so I tried to turn it off, but the tap kept spinning and spinning until the handle fell off in my Hand.
angry, cold, and soap covered, I used a towel to dry off and realised that the only heater I had was a strip heater. When we finally decided to go to bed, I pulled back the covers to discover that they had not been changed since they were filthy with dust and hair. I requested a callback by sending an SMS to the specified number. Nobody did.
The next morning, I went into the office and started to tell my story to the receptionist, when the Manager Eddy holding a child mentioned he saw the SMS and asked why I did not call him??? I said that I was unsure if someone was awake and decided to do the right thing and SMS and wait for a response. After telling him what had happened, he said, "What do you want me to do about it? it wasn't if we were being Malicious" I calmly and quickly explained that I understood that, yet I needed to resolve the issue. I asked him if he could move us to a cabin that worked and was clean, he said "there is none available." Angry yet trying to keep my head, I walked out the door then turned around and said “I know what you can do you can credit me and I will find another accommodation place to stay he agreed. It has been 8 Days now and still no credit.
My Belief is that the Manager Eddy Should Not be there he has Zero People Skills.
The actual powered site we were given was a real disappointment, uneven, unlevel, and overpriced for what we were given. Amenities very good as well as the location next to water.
Always a great place to stay. Close to everything u need.
Staff are always willing to help
Awful. Uneven sites covered in cigarette butts, portable shower block main amenities closed up. Traffic noise terrible . Warnings on paperwork to lock everything up and secure bikes, kayaks etc ....certainly didn't have a good feel ...
